The Home Office has recently published two new pieces of fire safety guidance that aim to ensure the safety of individuals in public or private buildings.

The first guide, “Fire Safety Order: enforcement and sanctions for non-compliance,” explains how the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 is enforced and provides information on the sanctions available to enforcing authorities if compliance is not met.

The second guide, “A guide for persons with duties under fire safety legislation,” helps individuals determine whether they are a Responsible Person or Duty Holder under the FSO and outlines their respective fire safety responsibilities.

Both guides provide essential information that can help prevent fire hazards and protect the safety of individuals.
