JRA is proud to be supporting Fire Door Safety Week.

Established in 2013 as a response to the lack of attention given to fire doors. Its aim is to raise awareness among the general public about the crucial role that fire doors play in safeguarding lives and property. This mass-market campaign is organised and managed by the British Woodworking Federation, with the support of various partners such as the National Fire Safety campaign of the Home Office, the National Fire Chief’s Council, and the London Fire Brigade.

This year’s campaign, centres around the theme “Recognise it, Report it”. The primary objective of this campaign is to educate individuals on how to identify issues related to malfunctioning doors, report them, and ensure they are either repaired or replaced as soon as possible.

The question we should be asking ourselves is would you know how to spot a faulty fire door and who to report it to?

The Fire Door Safety Week website is packed with information about the campaign and how you could educate yourself on your responsibilities to identify and report faulty fire doors and support the campaign

If you’re unsure about your doors get in touch with the JRA team and we’d be happy to help
