The Sutton, Kind Edwards Square
JRA Fire Safety Advisors were appointed to undertake a comprehensive fire risk assessment alongside a detailed fire door survey at The Sutton, a multi-storey residential building.
The fire risk assessment completed by JRA Fire Safety Advisors provided a structured and proportionate review of fire hazards, people at risk, and the effectiveness of existing preventative and protective measures within the communal areas of the premises. The assessment considered the building’s layout, evacuation arrangements, and management procedures to ensure a clear and defensible understanding of fire risk.
As part of the assessment, JRA Fire Safety Advisors reviewed the external wall construction in the context of life safety and evacuation strategy. This ensured that the overall fire risk profile of the building was properly understood and that the Responsible Person was provided with clear, proportionate advice on how external wall considerations interface with fire safety management.
In parallel, JRA Fire Safety Advisors undertook a comprehensive fire door survey of communal and flat entrance doors. Each door was individually inspected and recorded within a detailed asset register, supported by photographic evidence and condition ratings. This provided a clear and practical basis for managing fire door performance and planning ongoing maintenance.
This project demonstrates JRA Fire Safety Advisors’ experience in delivering coordinated fire risk assessment and fire door survey services for residential premises, producing clear, actionable outputs that support compliance and effective fire safety management.
